Warehouse Cleaning Services

Fast Deep Clean Essex

Warehouse Cleaning Services in Essex & London

Nobody walks the warehouse floor and says “this place looks clean.” They notice when it doesn’t and by then it’s usually a slip report, a failed audit, or a forklift that’s been idle for two hours.
Fast Deep Clean provides industrial warehouse cleaning across Chelmsford, Essex and London. Floors, racking, high-level structure, loading bays, welfare areas. We work around your shift patterns, your MHE movements and your dispatch windows.
Your operation doesn’t stop. Neither does ours.

Dust Isn't a Cosmetic Problem

In a warehouse, contamination costs money in four specific ways.

Fire loading

Dust and debris accumulating on beams, cable trays, lighting and roof structure add combustible material at exactly the height where a fire spreads fastest. Insurers and fire risk assessors increasingly ask what your high-level cleaning schedule is.

Slip and trip liability

Loading bays, dock levellers and traffic routes collect oil, shrink wrap, water ingress and general debris. These are the highest-risk zones in your building and the ones most likely to generate an accident report.

Failed audits

Whether it's a client audit, BRCGS, ISO or an insurance inspection, high-level dust, dirty racking and contaminated welfare areas are easy findings for an auditor to write up.

Stock and equipment damage

Airborne dust settles into packaging, onto stock and into machinery, control boxes and MHE. Dusty racking looks bad on an audit and worse on an outbound product.

Cleaning a warehouse isn’t about appearance. It’s risk control.

Regular Contract or One-Off Deep Clean

Scheduled contract cleaning daily, weekly or monthly, typically covering floors, welfare areas and loading bays, with high-level and racking work built quarterly or annually. This is the cheaper route long-term because build-up never reaches the point where it needs specialist intervention.
One-off deep clean for sites that have never had a proper clean, are preparing for an audit or client visit, are changing tenant or occupier, or have just completed a racking reconfiguration or fit-out. For sites following construction or refurbishment work, our After Builders Cleaning service can deal with construction dust, debris and residue before the space returns to normal operation.
Pre-audit clean booked ahead of a BRCGS, ISO, client or insurance inspection, targeted at exactly the areas auditors check.
End of lease / vacating clean industrial units returned to landlord specification, including floor scrubbing, high-level clearance and waste removal.

What We Clean, Zone by Zone

In a warehouse, contamination costs money in four specific ways.

Racking, Shelving and Mezzanines

Dusted, wiped and sanitised carefully uprights, beams, decking and shelf faces without disturbing your inventory or interrupting the picking operation. We also handle post-reconfiguration cleans: when racking has been moved, added or stripped out, the floor and structure underneath is usually
years of untouched build-up.

High-Level Structure

Roof structure, beams, girders, purlins, cladding, pipework, cable trays, ductwork, lighting and ventilation. This is where dust concentrates and where most warehouses never clean, because it can't be reached from a stepladder. We use appropriate access equipment MEWPs, scissor lifts and cherry pickers with dust controlled at source so it doesn't simply redistribute onto everything below.

Loading Bays, Docks and Goods In/Out

The dirtiest and most dangerous part of the building. Bays, dock levellers, shutters, marshalling lanes, dispatch areas and pedestrian routes cleaned and degreased. Shrink wrap, strapping, pallet debris and compactor points cleared.

Machinery and MHE Zones

Safe cleaning around conveyors, packaging lines, control boxes, charging bays and forklift parking zones. Exclusion zones and lock-off points agreed with your team before we start. We never clean live plants without your sign-off.

Welfare, Office and Washrooms

Canteens, break rooms, locker rooms, toilets and any office space within the building, cleaned to the same standard as our dedicated Office Cleaning service. These are the areas your staff judge the site by, and the areas an auditor walks into first.

Spill Response

Oil, hydraulic fluid, adhesive, chemical and general industrial spills. Cleaned, contained and disposed of in line with environmental requirements.

Floors

The largest single surface in your building and the one that shows first. We use industrial ride-on and pedestrian scrubber-dryers for open floor area, with degreasing and hand detail in corners, under racking and around obstructions where machines can't reach. Tyre marks, oil and hydraulic residue, adhesive, water ingress and general debris removed. Line markings and walkways cleared so traffic segregation actually stays visible. One-off deep scrub, or scheduled maintenance so it never gets there in the first place.

Sectors Coverage

Sectors We Cover

Logistics and distribution centres, third-party logistics (3PL) sites, e-commerce fulfilment centres, storage and self-storage facilities, wholesale and cash-and-carry, cold storage, workshops and light industrial units, and builders’ merchants and trade counters. Live operation

Working Around a Live Operation

This is where most cleaning contractors fall down in a warehouse, so we plan it before we quote.

Scheduling that fits your shifts

Nights, weekends, quiet periods between dispatch windows, shutdown weeks and holiday closures. If you run 24/7, we work zone by zone around you.

RAMS before we arrive

Site-specific risk assessment and method statement issued in advance, covering access equipment, chemicals, traffic controls and exclusion zones.

Stock protection

Racking and high-level work is planned so debris falls where we control it, not onto your inventory. Sheeting and containment used where needed

Your induction, our compliance

Our teams complete your site induction, wear the PPE your site requires, and sign in and out like any other contractor.

Traffic segregation

Our operatives and your forklifts do not share space. We agree zones, timings and routes with your shift supervisor, and work sequentially rather than spreading across the floor.

Coverage

Areas We Cover Across Essex

Our dispatch hub is in Chelmsford, with mobile teams covering:
Essex and the M25 corridor are dense with distribution sites. If you’re near the A12, A13 or M11, we cover you.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does warehouse cleaning cost?

Warehouse cleaning is usually priced per square foot for floor work and per visit or per shift for everything else. A one-off deep clean of a mid-sized unit typically runs into four figures depending on floor area, high-level access requirements and the condition it’s in. Regular contract cleaning is significantly cheaper per visit. We give fixed written quotes after a free site survey square footage alone isn’t enough to price a warehouse accurately.

No. Most of our warehouse work is carried out around live operations, zone by zone, with agreed traffic segregation. Where a full shutdown is genuinely easier high-level work over a picking aisle, for example we schedule it for a night, weekend or planned closure.

Floors and welfare areas in a busy distribution centre usually need daily or weekly attention. Loading bays weekly. Racking and high-level structure typically once or twice a year, more often in dusty operations or where you have audit or insurance requirements. We’ll recommend frequencies at the survey stage based on what your site actually generates.
High-level cleaning is carried out using appropriate access equipment with trained operatives, under a documented method statement and risk assessment. Dust is controlled at source rather than being knocked down onto stock and floors below. Working at height is the highest-risk part of any warehouse clean and we plan it accordingly.
No. Racking cleaning is planned around your picking operation and we don’t move, unload or reposition inventory. Where high-level work sits above stored goods, we sheet and contain so nothing falls onto the product.
Yes. Nights, weekends, bank holidays and planned shutdown weeks are standard for us. Shutdown periods in particular are the best window for deep cleans and high-level work, so book them well in advance.
Do you clean the warehouse floor with machines?
Yes. We use industrial ride-on and pedestrian scrubber-dryers for open floor areas, with manual degreasing and detail work under racking, in corners and around fixed obstructions where machines can’t reach.
Yes. Pre-audit deep cleans are one of our most common warehouse jobs. Tell us which standard you’re being audited against and when, and we’ll target the areas that get written up high-level dust, racking, welfare areas, floor condition and loading bays and provide photographic records for your evidence file.
We clean and contain oil, hydraulic, adhesive and general industrial spills. For hazardous waste disposal, we work with licensed carriers to ensure it’s removed and documented correctly.
Yes. Full public liability insurance, COSHH-trained operatives, site-specific RAMS issued before work begins, and full compliance with your own site induction, PPE and sign-in requirements.
Yes. We return industrial and warehouse units to landlord specification, including floor scrubbing, high-level clearance, welfare areas and waste removal.
In practice they overlap heavily. Warehouse cleaning usually means storage and distribution environments, floors, racking, docks and welfare. Industrial or factory cleaning adds production machinery, process residues and tighter contamination controls. We do both, but they’re scoped differently.
